Another [love story] begins...

S & N finally tied the knot on Oct 5. (to see their engagement session, click here) It was a real pleasure to spend the day with this lovely couple and their fantastic wedding party.  From the first moments of getting ready to the final slideshow of the reception, it was a wonderful day and I hope that I helped capture the magic of their special day.

It was hard to choose just a few shots but here are the cream of the crop...

"[True love] is when you're still dancing long after the music has stopped"

Who says you can't celebrate every year of marriage in a big way? That's precisely what I helped this lovely couple do on the occasion of their 39th wedding anniversary.  Here is a smattering of my favourite ones.

Happy Birthday, little [ONE]

This little sweetie turned 1 at the beginning of October and just shy of that, on a beautiful late September evening, we found a little nook in Sheppard Park to whip off a mini session in celebration of such a memorable birthday.  On top of that, this family will soon welcome another baby girl, making L. a big sister!

How much cuter could one little girl be?!

"family is not an important thing….it's [everything]"

This family and our family share a common love - Lake Koocanusa in beautiful British Columbia!  This is where we spent some time on a beautiful September evening, snatching some great shots of this mom and dad, 3 handsome sons and the beautiful gals on their arm, one of whom recently traded that adorable baby bump for a precious baby girl!  Here are a few of my favourites from this session:

“Our wounds are often the openings into the [BEST] and most [BEAUTIFUL] part of us.”

I have had the unique privilege of walking alongside a family that has suffered the deep despair of losing a child.  Although some time has passed, the wounds are fresh and the grief is still very near the surface.  At the same family reunion as I posted in my previous post, (the first without their beautiful son, C.), we spent some time together capturing their family and honouring the memory of the one who is so deeply missed…

"[FAMILY] - like branches on a tree, we all grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one."

My brother and his wife belong to a lovely large family and in August I had a quick session with the entire bunch of them while they were all together for a family reunion.  Such great fun! And, so worth the effort for the lasting memory now captured on "film"!
